Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Next Gen Talent Collective ("NGTC", "we", "us") collects, why, who sees it and what choices you have. Many of our players are young people, so we keep what we collect to a minimum and keep minors' information private by default.

1. What we collect

  • About the player: name, birth date, gender, graduation year, position, club and level, height and other measurements, citizenship, city, province or state, postal or ZIP code, a headshot and any video or highlights.
  • About parents and guardians: name, email address and phone number.
  • Your account: the email address you sign in with and sign-in activity.
  • Applications and events: your answers, consents you give, messages with NGTC, and payment records (that a payment was made and its reference code; we never see or store card numbers).
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and security logs, used to run and protect the site and to record when consents are given.

2. Why we use it

To review applications, run events, evaluate players, contact you, take payment, create a player profile when you choose to have one, and keep the platform safe. We do not sell personal information.

3. Players under 18

A parent or legal guardian reviews and agrees to the application of any player under 18, and chooses the profile visibility. Players under 13 have no account of their own. A profile of a player under 18 shows first name and last initial only, never a birth date, email, phone number, address or guardian details. A profile is private until the family chooses otherwise and NGTC publishes it, and the family can lower its visibility at any time. When a player turns 18, the guardian's choices stop counting and the profile comes down until the player decides for themselves.

4. What is public, and what never is

Only a profile that has been published, and only the fields shown on it (name as above, graduation year, positions, preferred foot, current club and level, previous clubs, achievements, bio, province and country, the country the player plays in, height with the date and event where it was measured, headshot and film), can be seen by the public. These are never shown publicly: birth date, email, phone, home address, city, postal or ZIP code, citizenship, weight, notes, guardian details, payments and consents.

5. Who we share it with

  • Within NGTC: administrators who review applications and run events.
  • With your consent: coaches, scouts, trainers and agents in NGTC's network, including people outside Canada, where you agreed to this in your application.
  • Service providers that host and run the platform: web hosting, database and file storage, email delivery and bot protection. Some are located outside Canada (for example in the United States), so information may be stored or processed where different privacy laws apply.
  • Where the law requires it.

6. Email

Emails from us never contain your form answers, birth date, or contact or guardian details, and messages you or the player write in your NGTC workspace are never emailed. Messages sent through the Contact page or a player profile's contact form, with the sender's name, are emailed to the NGTC team. Our emails to you may include a status update, a message written by NGTC staff, and payment amounts and reference codes, together with a link to sign in.

7. How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it to run NGTC events and the player's profile, and as the law requires. If you ask us to delete a player's information, we delete or anonymize the personal details. Records of consents, payments and administrative actions, including a history of changes to player and guardian records, are kept as a legal record. They may include copies of personal details as they were at the time (for example name, birth date and contact details), the signer's name, payment notes and IP address. These records cannot be edited or removed, and a deletion request does not remove them.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask to see your information, correct it, withdraw optional consents, lower a profile's visibility, or ask for deletion, by using the contact form on the Contact page. Withdrawing consent does not undo sharing that has already happened.

9. Security

Access is restricted, data is encrypted in transit, and administrator actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that puts you at real risk of harm, we will tell you.

10. Complaints

Contact us first through the Contact page. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The version on this page is the one that applies.
